The FedEx and UPS of its day, back when the fastest and most cost-effective way to ship goods quickly was by train, and Chicago was the nation's railroad hub. Their bottle-green trucks with the red diamond on the side were a fixture on Chicago streets; the depot was next to Dearborn Station on Clark Street south of Roosevelt Road.
