I loved this image the moment that I saw it. It vaguely reminds me of another image that I cannot recall. For some reason it makes me think of a high fashion image, perhaps even reminiscent of an Annie Leibovitz portrait.
That huge leaf is such a wonderful design element and the sunglasses provide just enough of a hint that there is a person behind the "mask".
The dark jacket is the perfect attire that lets the leaf stand out. The creamy wall complements the skin tone and provides the appropriate palette for the core subject.

Flowers are nothing if not the epitome of softness and sentimentality. So turning one into a symbol of blood lust is the perfect statement of anti sentiment. If one is squeamish there is enough red here to turn one's stomach. Yet one cannot completely turn away from the wonderful graphical design quality here.
War of the Roses indeed.

I suppose if one doesn't like cats this image won't hold much appeal. But this is such a irresistible vision of fluffiness one can't help but want to pet a cat. The profile view provides a fine study of the shape of its head and by averting the eyes one's attention is kept focused on the wonderful plush fur.
