8" Bench Top Buffer
I bought this one from Northern Tool $70 IIRC, + $6 shipping
Got it primarily for cleaning up straight razor blades and schales but it did come in handy the other day hitting the stainless steel thermometer and clip I use for keeping track of temps when frothing miljk
Left wheel has black emory buffing compound, right is green Chromium Oxide...and the wheels are 8" Eventually I'll purchase some 4"m wheels from Caswell Plating to slow the action down. At 3400 RPM's the 8" wheels turn a tad too fast for the kind of work I want to clean up..STR8 Razor blades, shanks, etc.
As you can see, this buffer is sitting on top of one of my work benches *without* being anchored. Thus far I find it unecessary to fasten it to this table top...the motor spins at a stealth rate...very smooth. If you're looking for an economical bench top buffer, look no further
