Brilliant hydrangeas, Ruislip.
We saw hydrangeas in England which were a much more brilliant pink than any I've seen in Australia - not that I'm a hydrangea expert.
Some hydrangea trivia: Hydrangeas are moderately toxic if eaten, with all parts of the plant containing cyanide. One form is reportedly sometimes smoked as an intoxicant, despite the danger of illness and/or death.
Colours can be white, blue (acidic soil) or pink (alkaline soil). The soil in Ruislip must be extremely alkaline!
