in edition to being on man versus food, beth cafe's is the premier cafe with character. Popular amongst local and unknown to tacky tourists, Beth's has Mom and pop elegance, down home feel, and a cozy hodgepodge of off the wall weirdness. Grease just drips off the crusts of the patty melts but, is to die for. Hash browns with Tabasco sauce and runny egg yolks are to die for. Its as un-McDonald's as you can get.
In addition to great food and quirky hip atmosphere, it was a hub for grunge puppies in the early 90's. I can guarantee almost every garage band and grunge legend ate here at one time. Kurt, Eddy, Courtney, Soundgarden, mudhoney, Jimi Hendrix, headline acts that traveled through on tour, ECT.. and let your imagination fill in the blanks. Maybe even Edgar Martinez . To me is is a trip down memory lane, doing an all nighter at Beth's was the thing to do if you wheren't 21 yet
