Macro Mondays "Desserts"
This one was fun BECAUSE: in the midst of not feeling well last week and having pajama days, my sister in love called to tell me that she had made two pies and would I please come and photograph them? I wasn't too excited, but looked up how best to photograph food and got there shortly before she closed... She has a wonderful little coffee shop/ Breakfast, lunch cafe and wants to start a blog and display her foods etc... I volunteered to take the pictures... I need the practice! If you get to Coos Bay Oregon, look her up! She is only a couple blocks --straight down Curtis Ave--- from HWY 101! (head west you can't head East or you will be in the Bay!) Monica's Gourmet Coastal Coffee..
She works 6 days a week, even has a second job to make this work out... So tip her handily!
My mom spent Mother's Day Sick... Unlike me, she doesn't delve in self pity... and hospice is wonderful to provide meds to keep her comfortable, so she was able to sleep and with compazine able to shake the nausea for a short time at least... I hope and pray she feels better tomorrow.
I on the other hand decided I wasn't going to cook, felt a little bad that it was Mother's Day and while all my kids did call or send cards to wish me a Happy Mother's Day... I still felt a bit blue as it was just Mom and me together alone all day long... and she was asleep... I bathed the dogs... cleaned out a closet... washed those endless dishes... And decided to call Papa Murphy's and order a pizza... and a salad... and when I picked it up, I went to Starbuck's and bought myself a peppermint mocha... I wish i had taken a picture of that.. it was a little bit of heaven! I was only gone about an hour and when I returned Mom was right where i left her... asleep in the recliner!
Thank you all so much for your prayers, encouragements and visits! I know it is why I am doing well! I love you all!
