Nopales

Field of edible nopal cactus near Tlayacapan, Morelos state, Mexico, taken by the roadside at sunrise. The cactus when used in cooking doesn't have much of a flavor and has a slightly slimy texture similar to okra, an acquired taste but not bad in my opinion, though I wouldn't spend time or money to buy any at the market.
