The Neck
The Neck is the name given to the sandy isthmus between north and south Bruny Island, off the southern Tasmanian coast. Late afternoon, the view is from a lookout reached by 273 wooden steps to the top of the sand dune. There is supposed to be a penguin colony down the left side, but no birds that day.
Photo cropped and stretched from the original.
