Fear of Heights

As the final panels of the outer skin were being installed on the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco, a large horizontal beam appeared on the side of the building. It looked almost like a diving platform, although it was early a thousand feet above the ground. I couldn't help imagining what it might look like if someone jumped off it. Landing safely might be a problem.
