Olive trees also happen to be the slowest growing tree in Israel.

 

In Bible times, the olive oil was as important a product as petrol oil is today. Israel was blessed with some of the best olive oil in the world... but that is also why the Romans killed so many olive trees-- they wanted to destroy Israel.
