Maroon Bells 2
This was the first week in June, 2004. It had snowed two days before. In fact there was quite a blizzard going on at the Eisenhower Tunnel and Vail Pass. In Aspen it snowed lightly most of that day. The day after the snow fall it was overcast and not too great for pictures. That day most of the snow at the lower levels melted. The next day was clear with snow left just on the bare rocks of the higher mountains. Perfect for getting the contrast of the green grass, budding aspens, snow covered mountains, and clear blue sky.
