The Big Step up

Whilst many may look back at the benefits of mid engined vehicles on local bus services and their relative simplicity compared to their modern low floor counterparts nothing ilustrates better than this shot the benefits to passengers of the introduction on super low floors buses.

This shot shows the demolition of pushchairs and scattering of baggage taking place in order to board Worthen Travels Leopard CCA133M new as XRR627M to Barton, not to mention the elderly passenger considering how best to attack the Leopards numerous steps.

Midland Red West's Dart SLF N341EUY looks on smuggly knowing that its 23 year old distant cousin from Scarboroughs days will be numbered.

If I remember rightly this was MRW's first SLF having been obtained for a Shropshire CC contract.
