On summer Saturdays in the early 80's Farthing Corner services on the M2 would be sure to provide some interesting vehicles, many operators at that time stil operated express service to Kent Coastal resorts and in addition many private hire vehicles also stopped.
This tired looking Bedford VAS5 with Caetano bodywork and a Plaxton front panel was seen in July 1983.
The sunvisors would not have seemed out of place on a vehicle built behind the Iron Curtain, very utilitarian.
UOL800H was new to Calloway of Rowley Regis and by this time had passed to another West Midlands operator rejoicing in the name of Sunset Charter
