4th ( King's Own ) Regiment of Foot 1815
'Beating Retreat' is a Ceremony going back to the Middle Ages where fighting stopped for the night and drums were beaten to get the outlying Troops back to camp -- now every year on Horseguards Parade, LONDON, it is held usually with a member of the Royal Family in attendance. This year it was Camilla Duchess of Cornwall ( Prince Charles's Wife) Also it was the 200th year of the Battle of Waterloo where Emperor Napoleon's French Army were defeated by British ( and a little help from the German Prussians ) so there was a 'Guest band' from Germany there. I used my PENTAX K10D and this time tried 'RAW' and adjusted in FastStone Image Viewer .Lenses were 50mm f1.7 SMC Pentax-M, 100-300mm f4.5-5.6 SMC Pentax-F and a 400mm f5.6 SMC Pentax-A
