The Meadow
The 3:30 departure of the Connecticut Valley Railroad regular train is seen at "The Meadow" in Centerbrook, just out of the station in Essex.
The New Haven J-1 clone was actually built in China in 1989 for the Knox & Cane Railroad of Pennsylvania as their locomotive #58. After it was heavily damaged in a roundhouse fire and the railroad closed, the Valley Railroad acquired the engine in 2008 and entered it in service in 2011.
