Train Show Bonus
As I was leaving the Amherst Railway Society's giant train show at the Eastern States Exposition, two of my friends gave me a heads up that an empty grain train had just passed them at Palmer. I knew that if the train showed up in time the light would still be good at the old Boston & Albany West Springfield freight house, now used as a Baptist church. Not long before the sun dipped below the horizon, G104 rounded the bend and entered the scene in some sweet afternoon light.
