The Real Polar Express

This 2-8-4 Berkshire was built for the Pere Marquette Railway in October of 1941 by the Lima Locomotive Works. Today it is owned and operated by the Steam Railroading Institute. This engine was the model for the 2004 animated Polar Express movie. It is seen near Carland, Michigan on a January of 2019 Lerro Productions charter.
