Chickamauga

The photo freight charges South near the battlefields from the 1863 Battle of Chickamauga. This battle was one of the bloodiest of the American Civil War.

The Tennesee Valley Railroad Museum is home to not one, but two operational Southern Railways coal-fired steam locomotives. #630 is a 1904 American Locomotives 2-8-0 Consolidation. With over 46,000 pounds of tractive effort. #4501 is a slightly heavier 1911 Baldwin built 2-8-2 Mikado with around 54,000 pounds of tractive effort. Both locomotives participated in the March 12th and 13th, 2018 Lerro Productions photo charter.
