The Old Shops

In what looks like a scene out of a post-apocalypse movie, the remains of the Boston & Maine engine repair facility at Iron Horse Park in North Billerica stand battered and weather-beaten after years of neglect. The complex was built in 1913 and served the B&M for many years doing heavy repairs on both steam and diesel locomotives as well as rolling stock. The future fate of the massive structure is unknown.
