When It's All You've Got
A perfect illustration of a conversation friends and I had last night regarding how we live on an "island" in Massachusetts when it comes to cool railroading. After traveling to Montana recently and several trips to Pennsylvania and Southwestern Virginia it is hard to get the patience to wait for infrequent freight trains around this neck of the woods. The ugly patched leaders just add insult to injury. This one isn't even moving and sits tied down in Lowell in a yard that is just a ghost of the former Boston & Maine yard that occupied the area.
