Where The Goats Go To Lick

A Westbound manifest freight train crosses the trestle at Sheep Creek in Essex, Montana along the former Great Northern Railway. The bridge is referred to as Sheep Lick Trestle by the railroad, but often called Goat Lick Trestle by railfans and visitors. The area below is known for a spot that mountain goats frequent during the springtime to lick the natural salt off the rocks.
