Got The Horses In The Back

I'm gonna take my camera to Jamestown Road, Gonna Catch a Train

Don't Mind the pop culture reference. A four pack of helpers shove a loaded coal train up the West Slope passing under the Jamestown Road Bridge in Portage. This road bridge is home to color position lights for Eastbound trains on tracks 1 and 2. The signals for Westbounds can be seen in this photo in the distance. The bulletin has come down to NS MOW crews. These signals along with all the other color position lights between Cresson and South Fork will fall Sunday. This is to make way for modern cab signals and positive train control. With three accidents in two days for Norfolk Southern, one has to wonder, is "progress" always a good thing?
