Dave, Stranger #12
We met Dave at the Balloon Fiesta while he was holding on to a balloon tether as it was being prepared for flight. Although it looked like his arm was being continually pulled out of its socket as the unruly balloon dragged him all over the place, Dave told us how much he loves this glorious hobby and being a member of the crew on this last day of the festival. He also told us that anyone can volunteer to be a crew member -- all you have to is take a one-day class on the Thursday before the festival, and you're good to go. Sounds like a plan to me!
