Around Beckford Nature Reserve - late summer 2019
Beckford is a well to do village in Worcestershire, one of a ring which surround Bredon Hill, an outlier of the Cotswolds. The kind of place where you might find the odd retired judge.
I don't walk much these days but in recent months I have strolled around it a couple of times, visiting the silk mill you can see on the map, which is approached along an avenue of what are probably Mulberry trees (see mosaic photos). We also took in the local nature reserve which was purchased and developed by villagers as a public amenity - it was formerly a privately run site for the extraction, I think, of road building materials, although I am open to correction on that score.
The photos in the mosaic were mostly taken outside the public bird hide - there is also a private one on the other side of the lake - close to the entrnce to the silk mill.
