Earlswood Lakes, Nettles
Through the middle of Summer my photographic club organises a series of evening photoshoots in the area around Redditch. We hope the weather will be dry and warm enough for us to sit outside and enjoy a pint, having taken a hundred or two photos which we will 'show and tell' at a later date. My idea is to try and respond to what is there. If that turns out to be weeds at the side of the tree lined path around some lakes then I'm perfectly happy, even if some members prove to have taken some fine pictures of herons.
'Earlswood Lakes is the modern name for three man-made reservoirs which were built in the 1820s at Earlswood in Warwickshire, England, to supply water to the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. They still supply the canal, and also provide leisure facilities, including sailing, fishing and walking. The northern banks of the lakes form the county boundary with the West Midlands.' (Wikipedia)
