Inaugural British Airways' BOAC Retrojet Flight to JFK - February 19, 2019

British Airways Flight 117, from London Heathrow Airport (LHR / EGLL), on final approach to Runway 31R at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK / KJFK), on February 19, 2019. G-BYGC is painted in the retrojet paint scheme of British Airways' predecessor BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation). BOAC's first 747 wore a similar scheme when it was delivered in April 1970. G-BYGC is one of a planned four aircraft that British Airways is repainting in a special livery during 2019, commemorating the 100th anniversary of airline operations in the United Kingdom. This is her first arrival in New York since being painted in the circa-1964/1974 BOAC livery.
