Air France (AF) - Boeing 747-400 - F-GEXA - John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) - July 15, 2011 3 054 RT CRP

Air France (AF) - Boeing 747-4B3 - F-GEXA (c/n 24154/741)

The sun nicely illuminates the filth and grime typical of Air France's fleet. However, this aircraft does have some areas on the lower side of the fuselage, just aft of the wing root, that are merely grimy instead of filthy. . .

This 747-400 was delivered originally to UTA (Union des Transports Aériens) in September 1989 as F-GEXA. It would enter service with Air France in December 1992 after UTA was acquired by Air France in the early 1990s.

UPDATE (April 2012) - Not all too long after this photo was taken, F-GEXA would be withdrawn from service and flown to Cotswold Airport (ex- RAF Kemble) (EGBP) on October 7, 2011. The aircraft has since been scrapped.
