US Airways - Boeing 757-200 - N924UW - Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), Aruba - Sept. 20, 2009 1850 RT CRP WM

US Airways - Boeing 757-225 - N924UW (c/n 22204/27)

Caught this rather remarkable sight from Renaissance Island as a sailboat sailed right through the jet blast of this US Airways 757 as the jet came to full power for its take-off (note the boat heeled over and the jet blown mist off the boat's wake).

This 757 was originally delivered to Eastern Air Lines (EAL) in November 1983, it joined US Air as N608AU in February 1992, and wore that registration as US Air transitioned to the name "US Airways", before being registered as N924UW in December 2006.

UPDATE - N924UW was withdrawn from service and placed into storage at Victorville (VCV / KVCV) in Southern California in December 2009.

UPDATE (March 2017) - N924UW would be dismantled and scrapped at Greenwood–Leflore Airport (GWO / KGWO) in Mississippi in 2013.
