Hughes Notar Helo Autorotation
I was at Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona in the middle of the summer. Hot isn't the word to describe it. I was out there to watch the B-17 fly that morning. While the B-17 was out flying I noticed a helo way over across the field doing auto rotation techniques. I brought the camera up, ran the lens all the way out and shot a few pictures. He was having problems with the hot, thin air so he was flairing a little high. The heat waves coming off the ground caused the distortion in the picture.
