The title of this watercolor by William henry Hunt is probably not the original used by the artist. This could be the painting exhibited by Hunt in 1844 under the title, The Farmer's Daughter. In any event, it is one of Hunt's most attractive depictions of female beauty -- Hunt seems to be almost indifferent to attractiveness in his models much of the time, unlike almost all other artists working in the Victorian era.
