A4 Detail showing middle portion of William Henry Hunt's Blowing Bubbles
The knuckles and other bones in the back of the boy's left hand are skillfully indicated by Hunt -- the underlying structures are clearly depicted without being unnaturally heavy or too obvious. In the copy, the entire hand is weakly painted and shows little effort to understand the anatomy.
The crown portion of the table leg shows wear and tear, which adds to the visual interest, but it clearly aligns with the leg proper below. The copiest didn't understand the abraided wood, and the relationship between the top and lower sections of the leg makes no sense -- the sections don't line up properly.
