Frank King, Original Art for Gasoline Alley Daily Comic Strip, 30 December 1924, Skeezix in Bed with Skeezix Doll
The Skeezix oil-cloth doll, which had been introduced for sale in 1922, is depicted three times in this strip from two years later. It is lying on the floor in the first panel, where the artist actually shows that the dolls were rather thin and were not fully three dimensonial stuffed toys/dolls. It is again shown in bed with Skeezix in the second panel. Although it is hardly visible, a tiny portion of the doll's head can be seen a third time in the next panel, where the artist, Frank King, has shown the bed and all of its contents from the opposite side as shown in the preceeding panel.
