Day 119a-11-26-2020 Daria Nicolodi has died
I read this morning that the amazing and talented Italian Icon Daria Nicolodi has died. I am heartbroken. She has such a magnetic presence in the films shes in, both in former partner Argento's films and also other Italian films. I was following her on social media for a few years and I even got to talk to her a few times via it, like on her birthday or just randomly posting about how awesome she is. I took these from 2 films I have (I have all the Argento movies shes in, this was just the first two I came across) the left being Inferno, the sequel to Suspiria (which she co-wrote with Dario Argento) and the right being Profundo Rosso (yes, I took these two pics from the Italian version on the disk). I love how she was so beautiful in such a haunting way and that she broke gender stereotypes by being a strong woman in all her roles, that I have seen. Im still searching out for some translated/subtitled other stuff she was in. She is also the mother of Asia Argento and Fiore Argento so she has that legacy as well, for whats its worth. I cant believe she is gone and that she even followed me on social media at all. It was so nice to see her likes occasionally and responses. Always with a heart and a rose.
I wish I couldve met her at a convention before all this or after this but what little I got to say, I know she loved it and thats just as cool. Rest you, Daria.
