Seals at Falling Sands
Rather a distant view but these large light grey lumps on the far rocks are a colony of seals at Falling Sands near Beachy Head Lighthouse.
By chance, we heard the other side of this "cute" sight from a fisherman yesterday as he sat in his boat in the lock at Sovereign Harbour on his way back from a fishing trip. Several large (and worth about £50 each) fish lay decapitated and all but eaten at the bottom of his boat. The seals are lovely to see but they are destroying the local fish stocks.
