Yousra - No place to hide during Gaza war 2014
This is Yousra,
she has 9 children
they lived in Al-Maghazi refugee camp
it got bombed
they fled from home to home
and ended in the end at the hospital in Rafah
it was bombed
they fled
and ended up in one of the UN School
it was bombed
they fled
and ended up in another UN School
it was hit by air strikes
...
they still live in an overcrowded classroom
in one of the UN Schools.
There are no words that can describe the traumas after the 51 days with war
some of the violence are so brutal that they are unspeakable.
Fagforbundet (the trade union NUMGE) support Palestinian center for Democracy & Conflict resolution through Norwegian People'a Aid. They have been having workshops and debriefings in the UN Schools that are still used as shelters for the homeless.
I'm so ashame of mankind,
and I'm so impressed with the people that are doing their best to help
even when themselves are in need of the same help.
