///Accessing Log\\\

Higgs was always the model of an ARC unit leader, leading ever from the very front. Always being the first to break cover, to charge the enemy. I fought under him for many months, ever since the legion got marooned on some backwater world by a Seps' superweapon. He led us out of that hellhole, and straigt into many more. And back out again. Every time. From that original platoon, only Asher and I now remain, and Asher's a blasted cripple after what that beast did to him on Corellia. Higgs made sure we made it through on Rho Cortack IV, that we survived. I still think it should have been me, that I should have died in his place.

We had survived our encounter with the Ultra Battle droid, just barely. We followed the corridors and stairways up and up, and as we ascended to the higher levels of the base, the architecture around us changed. These buildings were not constructed by the Seps, or anyone alive today for that matter. This was older. Far older. A door opened, and then another. Suddenly, we found ourselves in open air again. A spacious boulevard streched along the curvature of the mountain this complex was built into. On one side was the exterior of the structure, on the other the gaping chasm of a mountain cliff. On intuition, Higgs directed us to go left, although both directions offered us no more than thirty meters of vision due to the curved nature of the platform. We had not walked ten meters when I heard the whirring sound of an approaching repulsorlift craft. With every passing second the sound swelled, until a cargo transport came into view, cruising along the boulevard. It's occupant, a lone Trandoshan, snarled as he spotted us and threw his vehicle into gear. "He's going to ram us!", one of my brothers cried out. Before anyone could say another word, Draco had put a blaster bolt through the hostile's heart. The transport veered into the wall, spilling parts of its contents and the slumped driver overboard. "Check your fire, trooper." Higgs declared calmly. "That's raw, unrefined cortosis in those cylinders. Very unstable. If the containment fails, those things go critical." "Very big boom boom", Arkan added jokingly, punching his brother's shoulder. I suddenly became aware of a new sound, of ground-shattering footsteps. New, but all too familiar: the sound of danger.

I had not thought we would encounter this nemesis of ours once more. We had fought this demon in the library on Muunilinst, and again Higgs and Asher had faced him in the sewers of Corellia. Asher had paid for it with his legs. I would not have recognised what now barrelled down on us as Durge, had it not been for the markings on his chest. The mythosaur adorned it, although a creature as vile as him was not worthy of such honor. Some other unit must have already had the misfortune to run into the demagolka at this point. Durge was in a berserker rage. His armor was shot to bits, and the mass of writhing muscle, nerve and sinew underneath was exposed. He seemed to have tripled in size somehow. He came galloping around the same corner the transport had come from, stampeding through us at full tilt. Rockets flared towards the monster, but their impacts only scorched the ground and seemed to make him more angry. As he seemed to beeline for Higgs, he smashed our brothers aside like they were toys. Some hit the wall with a sickening crunch. Others went sailing over the edge. Blitz was hit so hard he sailed up to a platform somewhere above us. Arkan was next, as a tendril of muscle shot out and pinned him to the ground. As the abomination slowly crushed him, it let out a hollow, metallic laugh.

Most clones would have died after being savagely smashed into a wall, but Blitz was a tough son of a batch. "Sir," he grumbled, spitting out a few teeth, "there's a door up here, he won't fit through." I glanced at Higgs, a horrible strategy forming in my head. Higgs had already considered the pros and cons of this strategy before my head had even turned, and he had made his decision. "All units, scale that wall, boost up. Leave Durge to me." In the moment, I did not protest. Good soldiers follow orders.

Higgs drew the vibroblade slung on his back and levelled his sidearm on Durge. For a moment, it seemed more interested in us than in our commander, but as Higgs taunted the beast, its attention shifted. "It's me you want, Durge. We have unfinished buisiness. You ran like a coward on Corellia. Now we meet again, the Force must have willed it. Face me."

Durge bellowed: "Unlike these poor replicas, you have a true Mandalorian spirit. I will greatly enjoy snuffing it out." Higgs opened fire, Durge charged. The door mercifully slid open and the five of us that remained slipped through, Draco dragging Blitz. Just before I lost sight of Higgs, I saw him shift his target to the cortosis cannisters. His voice boomed into the face of the berserker rushing him.

"FOR THE REPUBLIC. KOTE!"

pic and editing are potato, but I'm planning to replace them at some point

This will be my final build for the 253rd... 1.0 that is.

In March the 253rd will have a grand restart, with a new storyline and backstory, new sigfigs (unless you want to re-use your old one) and some other exciting stuff like an updated rank system.
