2nd Regiment of the 253rd Legion
///Log Entry\\\
[Action Report KB-043-7]
Fires had been ravishing Busrair village for several hours before the first attacks were repelled and the Wookiees were able to form fire brigades. As they were setting up pumps and hoses to bring the cold, fresh water from the shore to their burning homestead, a second wave of attacks was loosed upon them. The 2nd Regiment of the 253rd was called in to defend the locals as they attempted to salvage their homes.
[Personal log entry 403]
I've seen plenty of Wookiees in my time fighting for the Republic. Never could I have imagined to see one with desperation in their eyes. These walking carpets live for a kriffing long time, and this was not the first time most of them had lived through a Trando raid. Their drop pods strafed our position time and again. Many Wookiees fell trying to salvage the only home they'd ever had. In the end we repelled the attack, but too many houses were lost to the blaze, too many warriors had fallen. This community will need years to recover.
When this is over, we will sing praises of their bravery through the mess halls and officers' clubs.
But it will do them no good.
