Tapas
The site of my first meal in Iceland, Tapas served me a six-course meal of... tapas. First was the roasted puffin with grouper (the least impressive of the six - its only real redeeming quality was the accompanying shot of Brennivin, which itself didn't even live up to its nickname of "Black Death"). Second was grilled ocean trout - I'm not much of a fish guy, but this stuff was great. Third was lobster tails in garlic sauce - yum. Fourth was a lamb-kebob, also yum. Fifth was monkfish with a lobster tail, also yum. And sixth came the only reason I took the time to list every course: grilled minke whale. Kinda tasted like roast beef but with a little something else I can't explain. Pretty good. Whale: the other dark meat.
Because they serve whale meat, this locale also makes the "stuff you don't see in the United States" list.
