Just before the mud !

Here's an impression of the rear of Newhall Mill, a still functioning water mill complete with mill pond, which used to be a favourite place for Marnie and I to walk past. So yesterday, we went there for the first time in well, I can't remember how many months as I couldn't walk that far.

 

We decided to walk down the steps just past here to a field leading us back to the main path to take us to the car park. Little did we realise how much mud there was ! In places, I found it hard to pull my boot out of the gunge. Marnie's legs were black ! It hadn't rained for a long time, we weren't expecting that !
