The Beech in Winter
A pale sun struggles through the inevitable drizzle on my walk with Marnie this morning. It seemed to bring out all the autumn colour even more, although we're into November so officially winter now. It's still warm for winter, such strange times we're living through.
This is one of my favourite trees in our local park, a beautiful cut leaf beech, progressively pruned from its former glory over 30 years ago, when I moved up to the Midlands from 'the South' of England. In those days, the branches grew right down to the ground.

Thanks so much for taking a look and for all of your support -- as always, I really appreciate it.
