Rapture on the lonely shore

'There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,

There is a rapture on the lonely shore.

There is society, where none intrudes,

By the deep sea, and music in its roar.

I love not Man the less, but Nature more."

Lord Byron, English Poet 1788-1824.

A beautiful poem by Byron. Byron .... "mad, bad, and dangerous to know." He was evidently very attractive to women - unfortunately for some of them. A little rapture never goes amiss though :o)

Here's another by Byron, sung by Joan Baez - I've always loved this since I was really young and sang it in folk clubs with my very first boyfriend, Davey, playing guitar. I hope you like it too.

So We'll Go No More A-Roving - Joan Baez

Thank you for listening and for having a look at my photo - taken by Longmoor Pool in Sutton Park recently.

Edited in Topaz Studio, the texture by me. Thanks so very much for just looking and listening - it's enough. Thank you my friends.
