Swap 2009
This is what I sent to my swap partner. I had such fun shopping for everything. I got it all at Mast General Store here in Hendersonville, NC, one of my all-time favorite places. www.mastgeneralstore.com/
I LOVE vintage children's books and knew she had a baby, so I had to send her a reproduction of an old Mother Goose book. I have a huge fondness for The Snowman. I watched it (in movie form) growing up with my family, and the uniqueness of the music, the animation -- has stayed with me this long. I sent some peach preserves in honor of my grandma. She made the best, and always had to have some with every meal. I sent Fels Naptha laundry soap, because I have always wanted to make my own laundry detergent, but never got around to it. Maybe she will? I sent the recipe along as well. The Burt's Bees Orange Essence facial cleanser is a favorite of mine because it is practically edible and it works so well! I thought the little tin magnet was funny -- I probably should have kept it! I sent my favorite candy -- maple nut goodies. And one of my favorite things is the little wool rug basket. I can just imagine cozy balls of yarn tucked inside it.
