Witty Brothers Building, 50-52 Eldridge Street, New York, New York. The Witty Brothers, Spencer, Frederic, Ephraim, and Arthur, and a cousin, Irving, had a men's clothing business founded by their grandfather David Witty in 1888. It started as one shop on Eldridge Street in Lower Manhattan. By the time it was taken over by the Eagle Clothes company in 1962, there were six stores, one in Brooklyn and five in Manhattan, including two on Fifth Avenue. This building is now home to Sunrise Restaurant 88.
