David Backes scored the GWG in OT to lead the Blues over the Blackhawks in St Louis. Backed shot deflected off Blackhawks' D-Man, TVR, and past Corey Crawford for the winner. Both Crawford and Blues' G, Brain Elliott, were blocks of granite through regulation time. Elliott was tested more often than Crawford, but neither goalie deserved an L on this night.
