SUPRISES IN THE BACKFIELD
Both RBs LeGarrette Blount and Justin Forsett were not expected to be carrying the ball for the Patriots and Ravens. Blount was signed by Pittsburgh in the off-season and had a rocky season in Pittsburgh; he was apprehended for a marijuana incident during the season. His behavior precipitated his release from the Steelers and he re-signed with New England. He has been a strong runner since returning to the Patriots. Forsett was signed to fill a roster spot after the release of Ray Rice. Justin had bounced around the league the past few seasons and he was lightly regarded. All Forsett did was rush for over 1200 yards and score 8 TD's in 2014.
