Splat!

This was so-o much fun...reminds me of stomping in mud puddles as a child!

I created this splatter technique (at least new to me) with Distress Stains which have a sponge top applicator. To achieve the splatter one firmly hits the paper with the sponge top. While one can control the area of the hit...the thin lines from the splatter are totally free-form. I had no issues with the dabbers but would encourage others to use this technique with caution since the force used to create these splats could perhaps cause damage to the bottle and or the sponge top.

This flower stamp has a lot of rubber surface making it a good candidate for applying stain. Blotting the image may be necessary if too much stain is transferred to the paper. Heat set each inking prior to adding more ink.

I had so much fun I know I will be making more with this technique!
