Solar Panel Installation - Epilogue

Saturday, October 5, 2013, was the first full day of solar production as the system became operational late afternoon the day before. This graph in this photo is from the eGauge web-based application showing the 24-hour period of Saturday, October 5. The red on the left side of the graph is the time from midnight to about 8:00 AM and represents power from the electrical grid. The spikes are the A/C cycling on during the early morning hours. The red on the right side represents the time from about 7:00 PM to midnight. A cool front had passed in late afternoon, so no A/C cycling in the evening hours. The green in the middle of the graph represents solar power generated, not used in the house and pushed onto the grid. The dips in the green area are due to occasional cloud cover which affects solar production.
