2203ie view from the Dome--now known as Kuwohi

Forever view from Clingmans Dome, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Visibility was noted to be 26 miles that morning--- many times it is zero when the clouds are rolling by.

This view includes portions of both Tennessee and North Carolina-- both are included within park boundaries.

** As of September 2024, this mountain has been renamed Kuwohi, reverting to the Cherokee name it held for centuries, meaning "mulberry place". It is the highest point in the geographical region that was home to the Cherokees and holds cultural and spiritual significance to them.
