7270ex late afternoon, Mingo Falls
Mingo Falls is a 120-foot (36.6 m) tall waterfall in the Qualla Boundary, a land trust of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. This is located just outside of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is a beautiful, roaring drop in the spring, but was still quite impressive even after a very dry autumn.
This was a cold day--- if you zoom, you can see the ice along the edges of the falls.
