5755ex Sally Lightfoot Crab on volcanic beach

These colorful crabs are 10-12 inches across, and they scurry everywhere on these rocks and into their crevices. The adults are the colorful ones--- juveniles are dark colored and blend into the surrounding rocks.

This one was seen on the Island of Santa Cruz, Galapagos Islands, but they were rather widespread throughout the islands we visited.

We were fortunate to be able to travel once more, and this was a huge bucket list trip--- Peru and Ecuador, with highlights of visits to the rainforest, Machu Picchu, and the Galapagos Islands. Lots more photos to come in the upcoming weeks.....
